Season and Time for Kit Kat Girls

The film cabaret was made in 1972 but the film was set in Berlin in the 1930s of the Weirmar Republic. During this time the Adolf Hitler was voted into power with hopes and promising of creating a better Germany. Berlin was full of poverty and instability so voting in the Nazis became a better choice and in 1993 Adolf Hitler became the German Chancellor. Poverty was a massive issue with the weather being deathly cold and the nights became even colder for the poor on the streets this became a problem.

The idea of the Kit Kat club to me seems a scapegoat of all the problems happening in Berlin at the time. With drinks and woman it became a massive part of Berlin during the 1930s. I can imagine getting out of the cold, snowy weather of Berlin into a warm club filled with laughter and happiness. It was an ideal way to make money and forget about your worries.
The hairstyles some of the Kit Kat girls were short and boy like that appealed to both men and woman. The make up was piled on perhaps many of them did not take it off and even slept into it as they partied well into the night.
